What LabTab is
LabTab gives a research lab one shared workspace for the work around the science: lab meetings and their notes, grants and their deadlines, projects, papers and preprints, posters and talks, the reading list, tasks, and the people in the lab.
It is built for the principal investigator who runs the lab, and for the lab manager, postdocs, and students who keep it going. Each lab is its own tenant, so one lab never sees another lab’s data unless someone shares a record on purpose.
Who builds it
LabTab is built and operated by Wetware Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. The service is hosted by Hetzner in an EU data centre, and Wetware Ltd handles personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
How we work
Your lab’s data stays yours. Any PI can export the whole lab at any time as JSON, BibTeX, iCal, and Markdown, with no request to us needed.
Pricing is one flat price per lab, however many people you add, so adding a new student never changes the bill.
LabTab runs in the browser, as a desktop app for macOS and Windows, and from the terminal with the LabTab CLI. Developers and AI agents can use the same versioned API with scoped, per-lab API keys.
